Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time I was blind
Vision so dark, unclear on where to go
I was lost and alone
Struggling to keep myself sane and stable
But it was hard
I saw nothing but negativity and pain
My life was at a crossroad
Slowly pacing to the left
A point of no return
Closer and closer I approached the fork in the road
Drifting more and more to the left as if I was being pulled there
No one was pulling me or physically touching me
Confusion set in
I didn't know right from wrong
The days started bad and ended worse
My luck was at it's end
With no light to guide me on this path
I became a nobody
Then reality set in
It was either lose yourself or find yourself
Be forgotten or be remembered
I chose wisely
Knowing that the power of God would lend me a guiding hand
I woke up
Bad dreams became the past
An uplifting spirit became my future
Why is this happening to me now
There's only one reason
God hasn't gave up on me
With all these positive experiences
The blessings came in left and right
I am a new man
A man of God
Who has nothing but the spirit living in my soul
If you ask me now where I've been
I'd say lost but now I'm found
Once I share to the world my story
They will see me as who I really am
A man with goal and a promising future
I wont ever be forgotten again
All I know is that the old me is gone
He was once upon a time
