Where I Found You

she sits here in front of me
With a puzzled face
She ask me questions about my past
I tell her the truth
Still
Looking at me puzzled
As if she don't believe me
My phone rings
"Hey" from a friend
She's paranoid and ask who is that
Tiffany from work
She just shook her head and walks away
Me with a blank stare on my face
Just let her be
I knew it wasn't nothing going on
But does she
I don't think she trust me at all
My past is coming back to hunt me
She gets dressed for a party
So she say's
All I can do is say ok
I trust her
Her phone rings
With no hesitation
She disappears with no goodbye
House quiet
Dog sleeping on the floor
I start to get hungry
I get in the car and drive to my favorite late night spot
Stop light red
I look into the sports bar
I saw her
Could that really be her
Eyes squinted so I could see further
It was her
Same dress, same hair and smile
With another guy
My heart started to pound harder
Old me would have went to jail that night
But I'm more mature then that
Green light
Cars blowing their horns at me
I drive off
Thoughts racing through my mind
Why
Why me after this long
What have I done to deserve this
I pull up to the driveway
Car in park
Radio off and all I can hear is the engine
What should I do
How do I act about this situation
I got out the car and walked in the house
Waiting patiently by the stairs
1 o'clock, 2 o'clock 3 o'clock
I hear keys on the door
It opens
She turns around to shut the door
looks back and sees me
She looks surprise
Oh your still up
Sitting there with a disturbed face
What's wrong she says
I asked her where she's been
Out with my friends she replied
I asked her again
Where have you been
Out with some friends
Stop the bull
I seen you with a guy in the sports bar
Her whole face language changes quick
No you didn't she said
I asked for her phone
She said hold up
I got up and grabbed it fast
It said I had a great night
Hope we can have more to come
It was a guy she met
On her business trip over the summer
All this talk about not having guys
Or talking to them at all
Was a lie
I was being played as a fool
And I felt bad for letting go my good friends for her
After this
I knew things wouldn't be the same
She said you was doing the same thing
Really
Is this your defense
You think I do the same as you
She asked for my phone
She looked at the text from tiffany
And it read
Congratulations on your new promotion
That's all she said
What more do you want
She's trying to make me feel bad
Due to my past experiences
They say two wrongs don't make a right
But I learned she aint the right one
I hope you enjoyed your night
This is your last with me
I'm not fighting for first
With another guy
I can do better
So gone back to the bar
Where I found you at
